Exploring Opportunities for the South of Scotland Coast to Coast Cycle Route

Thursday 9th March @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

South of Scotland Enterprise are running two free online information sessions for the community to learn more about the opportunities for this new 250-mile cycle route covering the length of the South of Scotland.

The route is being led by South of Scotland Enterprise who are using a TEAM South approach through the South of Scotland Cycling Partnership which includes Dumfries and Galloway and Scottish Borders councils, South of Scotland Destination Alliance, VisitScotland and Sustrans Scotland.

New cycle route for Scotland

This new route for experienced cyclists runs from Stranraer to Eyemouth is one of the longest in the UK and is expected to deliver new economic, environmental, and community benefits to the South of Scotland.

The project is to be delivered in time for Scotland to host the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships. This will offer visitors to the championships a great cycling holiday experience.

Community opportunities
Cycling tourism gives an opportunity to deliver new economic opportunities for local communities.

To support the infrastructure and services necessary for a high-quality user experience, we are looking to engage with community members and businesses.

We want community representatives, cycling clubs and businesses along the cycle route to join us and find out how this new opportunity could benefit  business and community.
