The Association of Scotland’s Self Caterers Talks

21st February 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

£27.44

The Association of Scotland’s Self Caterers Talks

This is a great time of year to soak up as much knowledge and gather as many practical tips as possible for ourselves and our business, whether that be changing digital trends, legislation, tips for keeping on top of your wellbeing or general housekeeping such as fire safety and legionella guidance.

Since 1st September 2020 (due to COVID-19), the ASSC has successfully ran a series of topical virtual ‘Talks’ relevant to the self-catering sector in Scotland, attended by thousands of ASSC members and non-members and have continued on a regular basis as a lasting legacy from the pandemic.

Generally, talks run through autumn to late spring and are open to anyone for a small charge of £27.44, attendance for ASSC members is free as part of the membership package.

The next ASSC Talk is happening on Tuesday 21st February at 4:00 pm

Talking Climate Action: benefiting your business and the environment

  • In partnership with VisitScotland
  • TUESDAY, 21st February 2023: 4 pm to 5 pm (virtually via ZOOM)

The ASSC are delighted to welcome Janie Neumann, Sustainable Tourism Manager at VisitScotland along to the session to share her wealth of knowledge and experience. The talk will be specific to the self-catering sector in Scotland and will include an update about the climate action journey that Scottish Tourism is on and how you can get started on your own. She will address the drivers and benefits of taking action, provide a step-by-step guide to developing a simple climate action plan, some quick wins to reduce your carbon footprint and increase efficiency, and where to get more advice and support
