Active 4 Seasonswww.active4seasons.co.ukBerwick upon TweedNorthumberlandActive 4 Seasons offers guided trips and bespoke coaching in sea kayaking, river kayaking and open canoeing in the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland. Your host Ollie Jay has been running trips and coaching in the area since 2000 and specialises in 'Made to Measure adventures' for individuals, couples, families, small and larger groups, no stags thanks.
We love the area we live and work in and try to ensure we are not causing any disruption to the environment or indeed the local communities and landowners we are lucky enough to share the area with.
A big part of what we do is educate our clients how to earn a welcome whilst staying safe in the great outdoors. We use lots of different locations and try and match you to an adventure that will help you grow your skills or enjoy the fantastic outdoor environment with its flora and fauna.

In 2019 we decided to diversify to create a sustainable business that was both fun and educational and that’s when Ernespie Farm Centre was born.
“We have always been incredibly proud of our work and what we have achieved on the farm and wanted to share this with the wider world.”

“People are becoming more aware of food miles and the origin of their food and so I wanted to allow people to be able to see first-hand what is involved in the production of milk on a Scottish dairy farm.”

Further.Spacehttps://further.spaceFurther Space brings a unique business model to the glamping market, working with landowners to create micro-tourism partnerships. Pods are provided at zero cost so partners only need to invest in their site works. This gives them a significantly lower cost method to entry, with far lower financial risk profile. Full support with site layout, design, architectural services and the planning process is also provided.
Once the site is open Further Space manages the entire customer acquisition process including TV, radio, press and digital/social media advertising. It provides a booking system, payment processing and customer service. This means that all a landowner needs to do is focus on the customer experience once guests arrive on site.
As a partner you are connecting with a brand which is growing steadily in Ireland and the Scotland. You benefit from a level of marketing spend and promotion that would be difficult to justify individually and you receive a dedicated partner relationship manager to support you. You also benefit from a growing base of existing loyal customers keen to experience more Further Space glamping in new and unique locations.

Pirn LodgeScottish BordersWe plan to build a small safari style lodge in the Scottish Borders, beginning with three rooms and a large main area. The dome rooms will accommodate two people sharing, have tea and coffee facilities and have an en-suite bathroom with toilet and shower. The main area will have a kitchen and dining area, where we would host cocktail hour and shared, set menu dinners in the evenings using local ingredients. Breakfast in the morning is included in the price. Lunch is not included and this gives guests the freedom to roam during the day and not have to be back at a set time. There is a lot to do in the area with our guided nature walks, cycling tracks and estate activities nearby, which we would be more than happy to help organise. We believe what makes a stay special are the small details, such as stargazing and sundowner drinks, put together with good customer service. With our experience managing up market African safari lodges, we believe we can make this idea a success and are currently waiting for planning permission to be approved. We have great plans, but would like to start small.
